En: I am a communications professional with experience in creating concise, creative content to distribute across multiple digital channels. I have a passion for helping people on a more personal level and have worked to help promote nonprofits in recent years. I have thoroughly enjoyed that work and know that with my next position, I would like to do something with a little bit of purpose behind it, as well as more content creation. My experience in journalism has given me the ability to build high-trust, collaborative relationships and my experience in the technology space has given me the ability to get confident using different platforms and tools like CRM systems, social media, and creative tools. I am a fast learner and highly adaptable and I am known for being an organized, detail-oriented problem solver who provides innovative solutions.
I graduated from Colorado State University with degrees in journalism and media communication, international studies and French. I am now working on completing an MBA program through Colorado State University’s online system.
I worked as a crime reporter and features writer with the Gillette News Record in Gillette, Wyoming, and as a general assignment reporter and photographer for a small, weekly paper in Wright, Wyoming. Stories that I wrote ranged from covering local government at town meetings and writing crime stories to community features, high school sports, and local rodeo competitions.
I changed my focus in 2018 and started working for Madwire, a marketing company in Fort Collins. There, I had several different roles that included email and text message marketing, content creation, design, and project management for website builds.
Photography is a major passion of mine, and I rarely leave home without my camera. You can take a look at some of my work here. I believe that photography is one of the best ways to document history.
In addition to writing and photography, I have a passion for martial arts, and I am a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo. I also enjoy speaking French and learning about French-speaking countries.
Please feel free to contact me to talk more about my writing, photography and work!
